Week 3 end - Some script examples

Some of the scripts implemented in Nyx is a Flashlight with a 'power bar' that reduces your flashlights visibility over time but charges up when it is turned off.

Another is a simple button script that activates lights in an area. For now, the Generator and Button are simple cubes but the functionality is there.

Once the newly modeled Generator is put into the level, these scripts (along with others) can be easy applied to new props. These are just quick examples shown, as some of others scripts, such as the AI, is a bit more difficult to showcase but are definitely underway.

Week 3

To help with the other modellers, we decided I should model the generator (and later on a trolley) as I will be applying the functionality to them (e.g. power switch). Nothing too fancy as we want to keep the poly count as low as possible.

Quite a few scripts have been done as well and previews will be uploaded soon.

Introduction to the blog

Welcome to my blog of my work through a project I am working on for the Game Design course at JMC Academy. I'm currently studying Game Design and am hoping to have a career in game design sometime in my life.
I've set up this blog to just document my progression through the difference stages of a game my group and I are creating for our game design course at JMC. Right now we're in the early stages of developing a demo of the game as part of our major assessment.
I'm in charge of the coding of the game and working with our sound designer. Updates will happen with further development in the game.
